Founded in 2022, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering scalable, decentralized defense systems that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a workforce of approximately 220 employees, we operate with startup agility and ambition.
Our vision is to redefine the future of warfare through cutting-edge manufacturing, innovation at speed, and unwavering focus on national security. We are dedicated to solving the next generation of warfare with lethal systems that deter kinetic conflict and protect global security.
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations supporting the build of composite airframe structures and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This role is responsible for supervising technicians, driving execution to the production schedule, and ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering, quality, and configuration control requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in aerospace manufacturing environments involving composite fabrication, structural assembly, and final integration of flight hardware. This person must be capable of balancing schedule, quality, and safety while maintaining strict process discipline across airframe production and UAS assembly operations. The Production Supervisor will play a critical role in scaling production capacity, developing frontline talent, and delivering reliable hardware ready for test and deployment.
Lead daily production activities across composite fabrication, airframe assembly, subassembly integration, avionics, and final vehicle build operations
Supervise, coach, and develop technicians and lead technicians to ensure strong technical execution, accountability, and continuous growth
Drive daily attainment to production schedules while balancing labor, tooling, material readiness, cure cycles, inspection hold points, and downstream integration needs
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with released work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentation
Maintain compliance with configuration control, product traceability, and manufacturing record requirements for flight hardware
Support integration of airframe, mechanical, and mission-system hardware into unmanned aircraft platforms in accordance with build plans and quality standards
Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Test teams to resolve production constraints and maintain build flow
Ensure compliance with workmanship standards, dimensional requirements, and inspection criteria throughout fabrication, assembly, and vehicle integration
Enforce safe work practices including PPE use, hazardous material handling, FOD prevention, and compliance with EHS procedures
Maintain high standards for 5S, tool accountability, equipment readiness, calibration compliance, and organized work areas
Identify recurring manufacturing issues and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
3-5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
2+ years of experience in a leadership role such as Production Supervisor or equivalent shop-floor team leadership position
Experience supporting composite fabrication, structural assembly, mechanical integration, or final assembly in an aerospace production environment
Experience with GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and AS9100 / ISO9001 quality standards.
Experience with manufacturing software systems (e.g., JIRA, ERP/MRP, MES, PLM).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, assembly documentation, and workmanship standards
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across production, engineering, quality, planning, and program teams
Ability to work extended hours or alternate shifts as needed to support production schedules
Experience supporting new product introduction, low-rate initial production, or production ramp in unmanned or flight vehicle programs
Knowledge of configuration management, nonconformance reporting, RCCA, and traceability requirements for aerospace hardware
Familiarity with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality management systems
Experience leading teams in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of production flow across fabrication, assembly, inspection, and test interfaces
Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement practices in a production setting
